Our year has included celebrations, family gatherings and farewells.

In January this year we celebrated Colleen and Dylan’s wedding. Family and friends gathered at Mylor in the Adelaide Hills.

Work has taken Peter to the USA nine times in the last two years, so, in February I joined him for a three week holiday (for me). We visited nine cities, and did several train journeys, including New York to San Francisco.

Gunalda is a lovely spot at the top of the Great Dividing Range a couple of hours north of Brisbane where our home group goes each May for a weekend of relaxation, play and contemplation. This year we swam in the Mary River and watched the spectacular sunsets.

Our trip to New Zealand in June coincided with the weekend when Wendy and Gideon celebrated their 10th anniversary, so Peter and I played with the boys.

Three days after this paddle on the South Pine River, our dear friend Helane died suddenly. Many friends and family gathered to celebrate her life, with a sense of gratitude for all our precious memories.

You may have heard of the Condamine in the poems of Banjo Patterson. We spent a weekend with friends at this lovely spot.

In October, Colleen and Dylan finished their overseas holiday in Brisbane, Margaret Page visited from Perth, and Wendy and the boys came for a few weeks. We made the most of the wet weather with a visit to the museum where Isaac was photographed to appear on the front page of the Sunday Mail.

As you celebrate, holiday or just enjoy a few days off, may you have some time to recall the blessings and be grateful for the memories of this past year.  If you have come to this page through our annual email or letter, keep in touch and let us know if you are passing through Brisbane.
